Equipment

All types of skates can be used. Ice prods are compulsory. A backpack is not compulsory, but as the services are limited along the course, we recommend you to take one. This makes it eaiser to take drink, food and a change of clothes. In the competition class ice pikes/poles are not allowed, but can be used in the open class. If you use pikes/poles you start 8.30. There is no spare equipment along the course, so make sure you bring what you need.

Transport

Please avoid taking your car, we recommend you use public transport to the start in Uppsala and from the finish in Stockholm.

From Stockholm C you can take the train to Uppsala C. From there buses go to the start in Skarholmen. There will also be bus transport direct from Stockholm to Skarholmen. Ellenius Buss AB leaves from Cityterminalen and runs to the start in Skarholmen and Sigtuna (Tjejrännet).

The buses to Skarholmen leaves every 15 min., between 6.30 am and 7.45 am. The cost is SEK 120/person one way.

The buses to Sigtuna leaves between 8.30 am to 9.00 am and the cost is SEK 80/person.

To have a guaranteed seat, please send us a mail to office@elleniusbuss.se and note how many passangers you are, what time you like to leave and startingplace in the “subject” field. We will send you a confirmation. Please have your confirmation and correct amount of money when entering the bus.

Fro 11am, there are buses available at the finish, for transport back to Skarholmen and Uppsala central. They will leave every 45 min. the cost is SEK 120/person.

There is also commuter trains between Stockholm Central and Uppsala Central.

From Uppsala C to the start

There are buses from Uppsala central station to the start in Skarholmen.

Spectators

Normally, Skokloster, Sigtuna, Kairobadet and Kungsängen are good viewing points. When the final course is decided, there will be more information regarding viewpoints.

Insurance

If you sign a cancellation- and accident insurance with your registration, your registration fee will be repaid if an illness or accident occur and you can not take part. The insurance cost is SEK 125 and is paid on top of the registration fee. If you can not take part, please contact Folksam, 00 46 771 960 960 or send an E-mail to folksam.sport@folksam.se. You must be able to produce a doctors certificate and also a receipt of the paid registration fee and insurance.
